A review of the literature in a certain field is a very common project for graduate students and some undergraduates. The library can't help with writing (the Writing Center can!) but here is their collection of resources on how to write a literature review/review of the literature: http://www.esc.edu/online-writing-center/resources/academic-writing/types/review-of-the-literature/

What we can help with is finding the literature that you're going to be writing the review about. For that, you should probably chat with us or send us an email. Here is some advice for getting a clear idea of the scope of your topic: http://subjectguides.esc.edu/researchskillstutorial/researchquestion
